TASTY INDIAN BISTRO

PACKAGING DESIGN

Project Summary

The Tasty Indian Bistro project was freelance work I took on to create packaging designs, a brand guideline, a pitch deck and a moodboard for a product line launch. The objective of the project was to create slick but minimalistic label designs for four new cooking sauce flavours and also for a Paneer cheese.

goal

Create packaging designs for new product launch with Pitch Deck, Brand Guideline & Moodboard

THE NEED

Tasty Indian Bistro was founded to compete in the burgeoning marijuana industry, specifically intended for the beverage sector. While they waited for legislation they decided to test the waters by entering the trendy aromatic bitters market. The Token Bitters line has been a surprise smash success, quickly selling out and gaining traction with a large liquor store contract. The handcrafted artisanal bitters are hugely popular with bartenders, mixologists and cocktail enthusiasts.

THE SOLUTION

Covet Design was brought in to develop the Token brand in the early days of the company. The chosen logo design is made of unique, custom illustrated typography. It is edgy and cool, yet friendly and inspired by nature. The curved flourishes finish in abstract leaf shapes. This is most obvious in the Token “t” icon, which is featured on Token apparel. The package design was kept clean and minimalist in order to feature and complement the unconventional logo design.
